Funniest Band Story
1. Sitting next to Joyce, Kev and Catriona at a contest prior to my joining Coalburn thinking what am I letting myself in for, whilst the tears of laughter streamed down my cheeks. Well guys - it worked!
2. Watching Gareth desperately trying to work in words like 'mangetout' and 'fandango' into rehearsals. The 'Alan's tea link' was nicely executed G-Man!
3. Carols discussion on the teabag topic; I will say no more!
Proudest Band Moment
Winning the Scottish Challenge Cup. My first signed contest with Coalburn.
Favourite Piece / Test Piece
Keep changing my mind, but just now I like Barn Dance and Cowboy Hymn, Salute to the Count, Just a Closer Walk and Prelude and Jubilate.

Most marches! (Total Tenor Horn off-beat syndrome!)

5 of us making more cheering noise than whole other bands at Challenge Cup win! (Bring it on Johnstone!)

I'm a music teacher in special-ed schools in North Lanarkshire and I also play percussion in Dunbartonshire Concert Band who rehearse Saturdays 10-12:30 in Cairns Church, Milngavie (always looking for more players!)
